How Colosseum Works
A simple, fair betting system where you bet against your friends, not the house.
Pool-Based Betting
Colosseum uses a parimutuel system — all bets go into a shared pool, and winners split the entire pot based on their stake.
No House Edge
100% of the money goes to winners. We don't take a cut.
Fair & Transparent
Odds are set by the crowd, not by us. See exactly where money is.
Simple Math
Your payout = your share of the winning side × total pool.
The Basics
Pick a market and place your bet
Choose YES or NO on any question. Your money goes into that side's pool.
Odds update as bets come in
The more people bet on one side, the lower the payout for that side. Underdogs pay more!
Market resolves & winners get paid
When the outcome is known, the entire pool is split among winners proportionally.

Example Market
Will it rain tomorrow?
Total Pool
$100
Current odds: YES 60% / NO 40%
Result: YES wins! (It rained)
The entire $100 pool went to YES bettors, split by their share of the YES pool.
Understanding Payouts
The Formula
What This Means
If most people agree with you, your payout is smaller — but you're more likely to win.
70% odds → 1.43x return
If few people agree with you, your payout is huge — but it's a riskier bet.
30% odds → 3.33x return
Common Questions
Can the odds change after I bet?
Yes! Odds reflect the current pool ratio and update with every new bet. Your final payout depends on the odds when the market closes, not when you placed your bet.
What if nobody bets on one side?
If a market closes with bets on only one side, it gets cancelled and everyone is refunded. We need both YES and NO bettors for the system to work.
Can I cancel my bet?
Currently, no. Once you place a bet, you're in until the market resolves. Make sure you're confident before betting!
Is there a minimum bet?
Yes, the minimum bet is $1.00.
Does the platform take any fees?
Nope! 100% of the pool goes to winners. Colosseum doesn't take a cut.
